After 15 series, I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! will finally end its run on ITV.

The contract between producer Endemol Shine and broadcaster ITV will not be renewed in 2021.

Back in 2004, Dannii Minogue became the third celebrity to win the show. “Never say never,” she joked afterwards.

From November 2020, the celebrity jungle is likely to return on Sunday nights from 20 November.

A tweet from ITV’s official account, announcing the fact that the show will be ending in 2021, contained this message: “Everyone at Endemol Shine and ITV thanks you for watching #ImACeleb. In 2021, the show will have been on air for 12 years.”

The exact reason for the cancellation is not yet known. The producer’s list of series, with dates at the end of each show, is available here.

We’ve put together a list of the main celebrities who have been a part of the show, with comments from the show’s producers, so you can now prepare for the next series.

Adam Thomas

On his exit, he said: “I was in the jungle for two days and I had zero experience of public speaking or anything.

“I didn’t even know what an agony aunt was, but when I got back I rang Dan and said, ‘Dan, I’m alright, I’m alright’.”

Joe Swash

“He actually has total egg on his face,” said the ex-EastEnders actor. “All these hilarious rumours that he’s going to do the jungle again, no we have zero plans at the moment. We just hope it continues for a few more years.”

Freddie Starr

On his exit, the entertainer said: “I’m shocked. I didn’t come on this show to be a celebrity. I came on this show to win the thing, that’s what I wanted to do.”

Nicola McLean

“I absolutely love doing this show,” she said. “Every year it starts to feel more like the last year it’ll be coming back and I’ll miss it all.”

George Shelley

On his departure, he said: “It’s not my decision. I’ve not left a text. I’m walking away because I didn’t want to show my true colours and keep my head down and look like I’m doing OK.

“If I really wanted to do it, I’d be here now. If I was coming in now, I would be much stronger.”

Lorraine Kelly

She has been on the show for 11 years, but said: “I’ve been wistful – I haven’t actually turned up.”

Denise Welch

“I felt grumpy while I was in there and I think it made me grumpy and I don’t want to be grumpy,” she said.

“I’m not coming back, I’d like to come back. But there’s no magic fix.”

MORE I’M A CELEBRITY

The sixth series, which took place from November 2006 to September 2008, featured former Big Brother contestants Jason Donovan, Simone Lloyd and Nadia Sawalha.

While Ant McPartlin filmed a new series of I’m a Celebrity, Save Me, he was unable to host his Saturday Night Takeaway show, with Declan Donnelly hosting from London.
