Prince William had a little too much fun backstage with Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift

Prince William got a little too close to Taylor Swift during a recent concert, telling Swift he was “cringing” because he couldn’t believe he was onstage with Bon Jovi.

“I am cringing,” William said to the crowd at a London event Tuesday. “Taylor Swift, you are amazing. Taylor, thank you for inviting me up here.”

The 35-year-old appeared alongside the rocker and his band in London earlier this month and the duo performed the song “Livin’ on a Prayer.” William even went as far as to ask audience members to clap along with him.

William began his remarks by mentioning Bon Jovi’s wife, Dorothea Hurley. “Bon Jovi knows exactly who she is,” he said, drawing laughs from Swift and the rest of the audience. “She’s got a big smile on her face.”

The 37-year-old Swift wrote her next single, “Look What You Made Me Do,” which is all about a break up.

“So if I was you I would shake it off, if I was you I would run, if I was you I would figure out how I got here and keep on running,” Swift sings in the song.

William, who is a bit older than Swift, reportedly knew Jon Bon Jovi and stuck to him during the performance.

Swift later responded to the prince, writing on Twitter, “me too #thanku.”

The 32-year-old pop star recently performed in London and sent the crowd into a frenzy when she said “I’ve got a lot more of this to give” and asked for a new verse of the song.
