Kanye West wants his wife and “strong black woman” Kim Kardashian West to know that he stands by her, even in the wake of his public but incorrect “I’m not racist” tweet.
After Kanye’s failed attempt to get rid of his African-American co-worker, the “Famous” rapper posted a series of tweets that some took to be an attempt to blackball Farhad Manjoo, who he claimed “is the worst human being.”
“I love Manjoo but I can’t work with him,” Kanye tweeted. “He’s not good at his job and you wouldn’t think that he was right for the job.”
A little more than an hour later, Kanye clarified that he didn’t want to fire Manjoo. However, he said the media would make it seem like he was trying to fire him. Kanye also accused Manjoo of misunderstanding his tweet, writing, “I’m going to the next level and getting rid of the journalist that I know just don’t understand what I’m saying.”
Manjoo went on to respond to Kanye’s posts on his Twitter account, writing, “That’s what I did.”
