Looks like the health care strike may be over.

FOX’s Heather Nauert has more on it from Washington:

Kaiser Permanente employees may be back at work after talks resumed between the California health care giant and the unions representing the employees. Before the deal is done, they must vote on the proposal and the vote is expected on Wednesday.

Republican Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee says it’s positive news for consumers:

(Alexander) “But still, we need to do more, and we’ll keep working at it.”

and democrats say the country is at risk because the country’s health care system is interconnected, and a union strike could affect hospitals, doctors and consumers nationwide. Republican Senator Susan Collins of Maine says an accord needs to be made soon:

(Collins) “I hope they can get it done soon. We have a lot at stake here.”

Kaiser Permanente employee’s are concerned over wages and benefits.
